5 Parenting Requirements That Can Actually Be Fun

February 12, 2018

As much as you may love your children, it’s okay to admit that parenting can be tough. If you ever meet those parents that say it’s a joy, just know that they’re probably lying. Because as much as they may not think that everyday is tough, they will also have their tough moment too. Being a Dad is rewarding, of course it is, but it’s not easy. To say it’s challenging can be the biggest understatement in the world. But at the same time, it doesn’t have to suck all of the time. It can be incredible and a lot of fun too. And sometimes, it’s all in your mindset. Yes, some of the things you have to do as a parent are hard, but have you ever thought about trying to make them fun?

Meal Times

It’s no secret that meal times are often a huge adventure in themselves. Your kids don’t always want to play ball. And if you add a fussy eater into the equation, it can all get so much more interesting. But, it doesn’t have to be a complete chore. You just need to find a fun rhythm that will work out best for your family. Whether that’s cooking with them, playing around with the presentation, or finding new ways to eat, it can be fun. Fondue could be all it takes to transform your mealtime experience.

School Trips

Do you ever dread getting involved in school stuff and wonder why you volunteered in the first place? As much as it can seem like a huge chore, maybe you just need to see the fun side in it all. Yes, residential school trips require a lot of commitment and sacrifice, but if you’ve signed up, then go with it. By focusing on the fun side of things, you can make sure that the kids get the most out of it, but that you also enjoy the experience too.

Bath Time

A lot of people might be on the fence about bath time, but it doesn’t have to be a complete disaster at all time. For this one, we’re going to let SuperNanny take the reigns. She’s the pro, so watch the video about to see exactly what she suggests you do for a fun bath time.

Not every child will be enthusiastic about their reading time. Some will love bedtime stories, but it can feel like a lot of hard work when your nighttime routine just doesn’t seem to work. So, as with everything else, you need to turn to the fun. Because reading can be fun. You only have to try out a couple of different voices in order to make it happen.

Finally, there’s shopping. And we all know that this can be hard work. But, you’re going to want to make sure that you turn to fun to make it work for you. Not only will this mean that you need to get your timing right, but you’re going to need a balance too. You know your children may not have the best attention span, so balance out the boring stuff with something fun, like making the entire experience an adventure.
