MyHummy Blanket Review (& GIVEAWAY!)

October 5, 2018

I am sure when most of us think of MyHummy, our initial thought is of their white noise teddies – we all know someone who swears by them (it’s probably me). Sadly, from what I have gathered over the past few weeks, not a lot of people realise they sell blankets that are as equally as lovely too. Hopefully, that is about to change.

I was delighted to be offered a blanket to review, especially after our experience with Ash (the MyHummy bear). We are still using Ash to this day, and I recommend the bears to anyone who will listen.

MyHummy Blanket Review

The blankets come in 2 different sizes (baby and junior) and are offered in a variety of colours. We actually chose the Luxury Warm Blanket in slate grey, and I chose the junior size as I knew Oscar would fall in love with it. Of course I was right.

The day I received it, he demanded that he used it to sleep in bed. It is a great size, however Oscar is quite tall so his feet come right to the bottom – just something to keep in mind if you also have a tall child.

The blanket I chose is made of the softest velvet material, and is about an inch thick, so it is really warm too. I know for a fact that I am going to use it in the pram for George in the colder weather, because it will keep him as snug as a bug.

The website also suggests that it doubles as a play mat, and we have been using it as exactly that for the last few weeks. We have laminate flooring throughout the whole of our house, and with a rolling baby, laminate isn’t the softest of surfaces.

Thankfully the blanket has saved many bumps to the head when George has thrown himself about.

It has the gorgeous MyHummy logo and stars printed on one side, as you can see in the picture above. Mine is bobbled on the other side, but if you would prefer to have a full soft blanket, there are other options available. You can even match a blanket to one of the MyHummy bears, if you have one at home.

In fact, I think this would be a wonderful gift to give at a Christening, or for a first Christmas/birthday!

Overall I would say this is the best quality baby/toddler blanket I have ever felt. I truly believe it is worth the money if you want a blanket that not only looks beautiful, but actually does exactly what it is intended to do. The price is definitely on the higher side at £34.99 for junior size, however I have plenty of cheaper blankets in our house, and the difference in quality is unmistakable. In this instance, you definitely get what you pay for.

The blankets can be purchased directly from their website here.
