If there is one thing I absolutely adore being given for Christmas, it is candles and diffusers. I felt like these products deserved their own gift guide, as there are so many different things to choose from when it comes to gifting scents for Christmas.
Having browsed for hours and finally deciding on my favourite items from the Wax Lyrical website, I thought I would show you all what I had chosen and what I recommend you also buy for your loved ones:
If it is a festive theme you’re going for this year when gifting, these beautifully designed tealights and fragranced candle will be the perfect product for you. The tealights smell so fragrant and unbelievable. They actually smell like the inside of a Christmas shop, and I don’t know what it is about them but the scent makes me feel so warm and cosy. When I opened my delivery, the tealights are all I could smell. I can’t tell you enough how amazing they are. I do think these are definitely more suited to people who like more perfumed scents burning in their home. On the other hand, the Merry & Bright candle is more of an ‘every day’ fruity scent, and would be suitable for those who prefer more subtle scents.
This luxurious Yvonne Ellen gift set is also a wonderful idea for a gift to give this Christmas. Not only do the candles smell beautiful, but they also look beautiful and would even look fantastic on display as part of a fire place piece. The candles come in 3 scents – wild jasmine, exotic fig and vintage palm. Again, these are definitely more suited to people who like fruity scents. Having lit one, I can confirm that they fill your whole home with their beautiful fragrance. These are on the smaller side too, however the bigger versions are available separately if you’d want to order them in singles.
The Lakes Collection Hillside candle is another of their more luxurious options, but if you had it in your hands you would see why. It comes in a beautiful box and the candle itself is medium sized with a frosted glass finish. It’s a really elegant looking candle with a fresh, pine-like floral scent, and would be a perfect gift for a parent or grandparent. My grandparents don’t actually light candles in their home (as I know many people don’t), but I know my Nanna would love to display this somewhere thanks to it’s gorgeous but minimalist appearance.
Colony Fresh Linen + Vanilla & Cranberry Jar Candles
I’ve been a lover of jar candles for as long as I can remember. I love how long they last, and how they always smell amazing, no matter how many times they’ve been re-lit. There’s nothing more disappointing than a jar candle that doesn’t smell, and I can confirm that these will not disappoint! I’ve had the Vanilla & Cranberry candle burning on and off in my kitchen for the last 3 weeks, and it makes my home smell like a sweet shop. My mam actually said it smells like strawberry icing.
I will be devastated when it runs out. Thankfully they have 150 hours of burn time so there’s plenty of time left yet! I’m giving the fresh linen candle to my mother as a Christmas gift, as she is all for the cotton, baby powder and washing powder scents. There are so many jar candles to choose from on the Wax Lyrical website, in almost every scent you can think of, so there is definitely something perfect for everybody there.
Another of their festive choices, which I think would be a perfect stocking filler gift for a loved one. This Frosty Night diffuser comes in Christmas cracker packaging and will bring the most amazing Christmas scent to someones home. Their website states that the scent is snow lily, oriental jasmine, amber, peppermint and citrus bergamot. Again, I think it smells like the inside of a Christmas shop, and I don’t find a huge difference between the scent of this and the festive joy scent. They’re both so beautiful, so if you find one isn’t available, I would definitely go for the other as they are very similar.
My favourite of all. Not only does this diffuser look amazing but it has such a perfumed but subtle ‘natural’ scent. This would be the perfect gift for those family members or friends, like my Nanna, who refuse to light candles but want lovely smells around their home. They’re also fantastic because you don’t have the added worry about blowing them out, and they smell amazing at all times.
Images of what the diffusers look like out of the packaging can be seen when clicking the links above.
That’s everything for my Wax Lyrical Candle gift guide. I’d definitely recommending having a browse of their website as they have a variety of beautiful Christmas gift sets and other products available that I haven’t been able to include in this post. The best part is that almost every product is available in a variety of different ways. If you like a tea light scent, it will mostly always be available as a diffuser, or a jar candle, etc. If you’re quick, you may also be able to get your hands on one of their candle advent calendars!
